Breakfast is no time to measure out a complicated recipe. This is as simple as it gets. And it is good.

Preparation time 2 minutes
Cooking time 2-3 minutes
Serves 2 with 6-8 small pancakes

Ingredients
I cup of self-raising flour in a bowl
1 cup of milk
1 large fresh egg

maybe a pinch of salt

Method
Mix in a bowl
Let stand
Adjust: if too wet a little more flour, if too dry a little more milk

Cooking
pre-heat nonstick frying pan until hot
spray with cooking oil (caution it can flame) or add a small knob of butter
pour a small first dollop of the pancake mix,
if the pan is not hot enough, the first pancake is for the chooks
depending on frying pan and pancake size put in one, two or three dollops of mix
leave pancake to brown until the bubbles show through the top (2-3 minutes)
flip and cook for a slightly shorter time
slide off onto a plate and wrap with a tea towel to keep warm
wipe with paper towel and add cooking oil as needed.

Spread with either mashed banana, or honey or peanut butter, or a mixture.
The traditional family topping is squeezed lemon juice dusted with castor sugar.
Vegemite works too.
